Throw caution to the wind, be brave and more; keep watchful eye and ear to things that move.
Bernard Lord has written poetry for a number of years, experimenting with tone, format and style, all with a recognisable voice. This collection includes some of his early work and touches on significant events in his life, most notably in the section entitled “In a Cerulean Sky”. Written between 1999 and 2011 some of the included poems have appeared in magazines and anthologies.
As he moved to France after retirement, he has also been writing poems in French or including words and phrases from his adopted language in his writing. And pourquoi pas?
About Bernard Lord
Bernard Lord worked in General Practice and the Civil Service. He was a rock climber, fell walker and runner but on retirement joined The Writers’ Block and gradually found his own distinct voice. Since moving to France, the French language has influenced his poetry and is reflected in his work.
